Good to know
Do I need teaching experience?
No. Experience with children helps, but we train you on our programs, class plans and classroom management. Energy, warmth and reliability matter most.
Can I work around my university or college timetable?
Yes. Tell us the days and times you're free and we'll match you to classes that fit. It's a great fit for full-time students.
When are the classes?
Childcare classes run on weekday mornings and afternoons, after-school clubs run after the school day, and parties are mostly on weekends. Camps run in the summer and over school breaks.
How long is a class?
Childcare classes are usually about 30 minutes and after-school clubs about 60 minutes, so you can often teach several classes in one visit.
Do I need a car?
Not always, but you'll travel to childcares, schools and community spaces. Only choose areas you can easily reach by car or transit.
Can this count toward my placement or volunteer hours?
It's paid work, not a placement, but the experience (and a reference from us) can make your teachers' college, ECE or coaching application stand out.

Ready to make a kid's day?
Send us your resume and the region you're in. We hire all year round, and we'd love to hear from you.
