Slime Lab
Get ready for ooey-gooey fun in our Slime Afterschool Club! This 8-week hands-on program is perfect for young scientists and creative minds who love to mix, stretch, and explore textures while learning about basic science concepts.
Each week, kids will experiment with different slime recipes, discover the science behind their creations, and engage in sensory-rich, play-based learning. Through measuring, mixing, and problem-solving, children will build fine motor skills, spark curiosity, and develop a love for STEM in a safe and engaging environment.

Can you be a Slime-ologist?

Here’s one of our favourite DIY slime recipes from the lab that you can try at home!
You’ll Need:
-
1/2 cup white school glue
-
1/2 cup water
-
Food colouring (choose your fave!)
-
1/2 tsp baking soda
-
1 tbsp saline solution (contact lens solution)
-
Glitter, sequins, or foam beads (optional but totally fun!)
Instructions:
-
In a mixing bowl, combine glue and water. Stir until smooth.
-
Add a few drops of food colouring and any sparkly extras—this is where your slime gets its personality!
-
Mix in the baking soda.
-
Slowly add the saline solution, stirring continuously. The slime will begin to form right away!
-
Knead with your hands (yes, it’s sticky at first—just keep going!) until it turns into stretchy, gooey fun!
Slime Tip: If it’s too sticky, add a tiny bit more saline solution. If it’s too rubbery, add a few drops of water.
